Non-native species presence/absence records in the AKEPIC database are the result of numerous data submissions over many years from state and federal agencies, private entities, non-profit organizations, and individuals. Data submissions are vital to maintaining AKEPIC as the statewide repository for non-native plant information. The following resources are provided to aid the process of submitting data records to Alaska Center for Conservation Science:
- The AKEPIC Field Data Sheet is a field survey data form. The form is complete with all fields required or optional for entry into the AKEPIC database and is organized to make entry into the excel data entry form straightforward.
- The AKEPIC User’s Manual provides documentation on the data contribution process, collecting AKEPIC data in the field, the AKEPIC data entry excel form, and use of the AKEPIC database.
- The AKEPIC Data Dictionary provides field definitions and associated format requirements, examples, and constraints.
To submit data to the AKEPIC portal: Download the data entry form by clicking the button below. Enter data onto the form following the User Manual (above), then submitting the completed form to the email below. Individuals or entities are billed by each record (i.e. per row) at the updated rates on our AKEPIC Data Curation and Services page.
